- I spent the last eight years covering state and national politics in North Carolina. In addition to writing daily articles about the goings on of elected officials, I blogged about politics for the paper. Although I no longer write for a newspaper (and no longer live in the Tar Heel State) I still believe politics is the greatest spectator sport in America. After a year-long hiatus of writing about politics, it's time to once again take up my pen and share my thoughts with the world. Like Diogenes, I hope to shine my light on politics in hope of finding honesty and transparency
